About Avolatus Foundation

The Avolatus Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in Huntsville, Alabama—known as Rocket City and a hub of aerospace and aviation innovation.
We exist to remove barriers, create opportunity, and empower individuals to pursue meaningful careers in aerospace and aviation through scholarship, mentorship, and community investment.
Our founders and board members are lifelong aviation professionals, educators, and veterans united by a shared conviction: talent exists everywhere, but opportunity must be created. The Foundation bridges that gap by connecting aspiring students, transitioning veterans, and underserved individuals to the resources, guidance, and networks they need to rise.

Our Founders' Story

The Avolatus Foundation was created in response to a clear challenge: the aviation industry is facing a critical talent shortage, yet many capable and motivated individuals lack the access and resources to pursue these careers.

As aviation professionals with decades of combined experience across aerospace, military service, and education, we have seen the transformative power of mentorship and opportunity firsthand. Time and again, we witnessed a simple truth—when barriers are removed and support is provided, people rise beyond expectations.

Driven by this conviction, we founded the Avolatus Foundation to break down those barriers and build pathways into aviation. Our mission is to ensure that veterans, underserved students, and aspiring professionals can access the training, guidance, and opportunities they need to soar in meaningful aviation careers.
