Program Overview

At the Avolatus Foundation, we believe that financial barriers should never limit potential. Our scholarship program exists to empower aspiring aviation professionals with the opportunity to pursue education, training, and certification in aerospace and aviation disciplines.


Every scholarship awarded represents our commitment to access, empowerment, stewardship, and transformation — the values that guide everything we do.



Purpose

The Avolatus Foundation Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to individuals pursuing aviation education or training through accredited schools, flight programs, or maintenance training institutions. Our goal is to help motivated individuals take flight toward meaningful and sustainable careers in aviation.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following general criteria:
  • Demonstrate a clear interest in an aviation-related career path (e.g., pilot, aircraft mechanic, engineer, or technician).
  • Be enrolled or accepted into an accredited program or recognized training institution.
  • Exhibit strong character, leadership potential, and a commitment to service.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Maintain good academic standing or training performance.

Additional scholarships may have specific eligibility requirements outlined in each opportunity description.

Scholarship Categories

Our awards are organized into three main categories:
  1. Student Access Scholarships
    Designed for high school seniors and college students pursuing aviation studies.
  2. Workforce Readiness Scholarships
    Geared toward individuals entering FAA Part 147 maintenance schools or vocational programs.

  3. Veteran Transition Scholarships
    Reserved for transitioning service members and veterans preparing for civilian aviation careers.

Award Amounts and Use

Scholarship amounts vary based on available funds and applicant needs. Awards may be applied toward:
  • Tuition and course fees
  • Certification or examination costs
  • Books, supplies, and required tools
  • Travel or lodging directly related to training attendance

Funds are disbursed directly to the training institution or approved provider whenever possible.

Application Process

  1. Complete the Online Application
    Submit your scholarship application form through our website by the posted deadline.
  2. Provide Supporting Documents
    Upload transcripts, proof of enrollment, recommendation letters, and a personal essay outlining your aviation goals.

  3. Interview or Additional Review(if required)
    Selected candidates may be invited for a short interview with the Scholarship Review Committee.

  4. Notification and Award
    Recipients will be notified via email and announced through Avolatus Foundation’s communication channels.

Selection Criteria

The Scholarship Review Committee evaluates each application based on:
  • Passion and commitment to aviation
  • Leadership, integrity, and service mindset
  • Financial need and personal circumstances
  • Academic or training performance
  • Quality and sincerity of the personal statement

Expectations of Award Recipients

Scholarship recipients are expected to:
  • Maintain good academic or training performance.
  • Represent the Avolatus Foundation with professionalism and integrity.
  • Provide progress updates or testimonials to help inspire future scholarship recipients.
  • Participate in mentorship or community engagement when possible.

How to Apply

Applications are now open for early submission. Even though awards are not yet being distributed, submitting early ensures you will be notified first when scholarship funding becomes available.
